To minimise your chance of finding termites in or around your property, keep your yard clear of timber lying around. Be sure to keep timber stacks away from your house. This includes firewood stacks. If you do find termites, do not disturb them, or spray them with fly spray. Do not attempt to treat the issue yourself, as if it is done incorrectly, it can make the problem worse.
